About the book

Help! I Think I'm Dying! Panic Attacks and Phobias: A Consumer's Guide to Getting Treatment That Works grew out of Dr. Granoff's own experience with two full-blown panic attacks and his decades of treating patients with anxiety disorders. It explains in plain language what panic attacks, panic disorder and phobias are, why they are so often misdiagnosed, and how to find, receive and continue to get good treatment. The book includes four inserts that update the material; the last two were added in 2018. Read the book's introduction free.

Panic Attacks and Phobias Conquered DVD cover

In this 75-minute DVD, Dr. Granoff gives sensible answers about panic attacks and phobias. Together with eight of his patients, he discusses the symptoms of panic attacks and phobias and, most importantly, how to get good treatment. You'll hear, in their own words, how eight people became disabled by panic attacks, and how the attacks affected their families, their jobs, their relationships and their lives. You'll also hear their frustrations in trying to find proper treatment, and their joy in conquering their illness. The DVD is a perfect companion to the book.
